SEPTEMBER CRIME CLUB SELECTION

VOLK'S GAME and VOLK'S SHADOW established Russian agent and master criminal Alexei Volkovoy as one of crime fiction's most compelling series characters. We learn more about his history in this third entry, as Volk travels to the United States in an effort to clear his father's name. A 1950s-era cable is found in the pocket of a Hollywood director murdered in Moscow; the cable implicates Volk's father as a spy for the Americans at the height of the Cold War.
